In 2003, Raw Thrills’s first coin-op game was Target: Terror, a light gun shooter game which became number one in earnings for several years according to Replay magazine. Shortly after the release of Target: Terror, Raw Thrills released Target: Terror Gold, an upgrade to the game featuring hidden bonus levels, end-of-round awards and performance enhancements.
Following the success of Target: Terror, in 2004 Raw Thrills introduced The Fast and the Furious, its second coin-op game. This was the first driving game Raw Thrills created and also earned the number one spot in arcade earnings.
In 2006, Raw Thrills teamed up with game developer Play Mechanix to produce Big Buck Hunter Pro. Shortly after the release of Big Buck Hunter Pro, the second Raw Thrills driving game was released, The Fast and the Furious: Superbikes. After five years of development, Raw Thrills plans on continuing to push the envelope in arcade game entertainment.
Raw Thrills Inc. was founded in 2001 by former Midway game designer Eugene Jarvis and partner Andrew Eloff to create the next generation of arcade game entertainment. In the beginning, the company staffed seven employees, some who were former Midway designers who worked under Eugene Jarvis’s direction. The company started out developing video casino slots for IGT, who is the world’s largest video casino game developer. Since that time, Raw Thrills currently has a staff of around 25 employees that consists of game programmers, hardware engineers, graphic artists, and testers.
